Privacy Notice

1. Who we are

Desires of Her Heart is operated by The HomeWorks ("we", "us", "our"). We are the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. Questions about this notice or your data can be sent to contact@thehomeworks.net.

2. Information we collect

• Account data: email address, and (if you sign in with Google) your name and profile image.
• Reflection content: the answers, notes and blueprint results you create inside the app.
• Booking data: name, email and preferred times if you request a 1:1 session.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and basic usage logs used to keep the service secure and working.
• Payment data: handled by our payment provider Paddle (see below). We do not receive or store your card details.

3. How we use your data

• To create your account and provide the guided reflection experience (contract).
• To save your blueprints and let you return to them (contract).
• To process payments and grant blueprint unlocks (contract, legal obligation).
• To respond to booking requests and customer support (contract, legitimate interests).
• To protect the service against fraud and abuse (legitimate interests).
• To send occasional updates about the app if you have opted in (consent).

4. Sharing your data

We share limited data with the following categories of processors:

• Paddle.com Market Ltd — our Merchant of Record for payments, tax and invoicing.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers — for running the app, database and file storage.
• AI providers — reflection text is sent to a language model to generate your blueprint. It is not used to train third-party models.
• Authorities — where required by law.

5. International transfers

Some of our processors are located outside the UK/EEA. Where that is the case we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

6. Retention

Account and reflection data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual blueprints or drafts at any time from "My Blueprints". If you want your entire account deleted, email us and we will remove your data within 30 days, subject to any legal record-keeping obligations (for example around tax invoices).

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@thehomeworks.net. We aim to respond within one month.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security on our database — to protect your information.

9. Cookies

We use only essential cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and to remember your session. We do not run advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

10. Changes

We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
